Die sorting and inspection
Semiconductor manufacturing works under tight production schedules that require fast and efficient sorting and inspection of dies. This is often accompanied by a shallow depth of field. Any deviation from position to position can lead to changes in measurement conditions and thus increase the total measurement uncertainty (TMU).
A fast chip change requires higher dynamics, better control to optimise motion and settling time (M&S) and very accurate synchronisation during dies alignment.
