Medical imaging scanners include X-rays, CT scans and MRIs. The most commonly used drive systems are gear-based solutions that generate acoustic noise, limited life and limited accuracy.
ETEL offers large-diameter torque motors with a large-diameter hollow shaft for low maintenance, low noise and high accuracy in this type of scanner. If torque requirements are limited, a segmented linear motor with a large radius mounted magnetic path provides an entry-level solution to the large diameter flexible motor.
Our electronic system includes all the features needed to elevate the performance of this segmented motor up to the same level as that of a torque motor.
